Lantern roof innovation

If it exists, we try to improve it. And if it doesn’t, we’ll design it.

Here are a few examples
Nobody offered a roof glazing system offering extreme durability and insulation with a plain well-finished appearance suitable for all types of glass roof. We developed our own incorporating patented drainage and trickle ventilation.

The exterior has slim neatly finished profiles (see illustrations) that interlock with extra flashings finished in matt polyester from M&L’s 70-colour architectural range.

A patented metal cover over the base of the double-glazing units securely protects against ladders and accidental damage. And M&L’s integral flashings avoids additional costs.

In many situations openable ventilators are required, but nothing existed that really met the expectations of our customers. So we designed our own with large secure vents, electrically operated by a precision thermostatic controller that can be linked with the heating (or a smoke detector). This makes our roof lanterns more practical while reducing fuel costs.
